| Product: | Netscape Navigator |
Netscape Navigator supports version 4 of the SOCKS protocol, as defined by the "socks.cstc.4.1" implementation. To set up Netscape Navigator to use SOCKS, go into the "Proxies" section of the Netscape Preferences and enter the address and port number of your SOCKS host. You may need to quit and restart Netscape Navigator after setting this. A limitation to watch out for in the current implementation is that Netscape Navigator does not understand the "@" syntax present in some SOCKS configuration files, so make sure that your SOCKS configuration files do not use it.
