Netscape Navigator keeps a list of the news servers it knows about in a file named "NewsFAT". If you want to get your copy of Netscape Navigator to "forget about" a news server (so that the news server no longer shows up in the list of available servers for you to connect to), then find the "NewsFAT" file on your system and edit it with a text editor to remove the line which mentions the news server that you want to get rid of. A list of the newsgroups that you're currently subscribed to, along with what articles you've read in each newsgroup, is stored in the "newsrc" file. You can edit this file with a text editor also if you need to.
