If you are constantly connecting to a specific site each time you launch the Telnet application, you can program that site into the button properties automatically.

This technical note will describe the simple steps to modifying the button properties to reflect this change.

Details:

You can have the telnet program start automatically at any site you choose by performing the following steps:

  1. Right Click on the telnet button (by default, the right most program button on the Highway 101 toolbar)
  2. Select Properties
  3. For the command line box, enter the name of the machine you would like to telnet to. For example, entering python.myservice.net will cause telnet to automatically start connecting to python.myservice.net each time you launch it.
  4. Click the Ok button
